Advent Calendar
The holidays are the best time to make things to display in your house. You can make all kinds of decorations or food and your kids will love it. One example is a homemade advent calendar. You can create it out of felt, or even just different colored cardstock. Make pouches for each day leading up to Christmas, and each year you can fill them with chocolate or your favorite candy.
Mugs
You can never have too many mugs, and they are the easiest things to decorate. You can grab some paint and do it yourself, letting each child do their own. Another great idea is to create a pattern, and send it to a professional company who can make personalized photo mugs. It is a great way to create something that is all your own, but looks professional.
Cakes
This is often a kid’s favorite kind of craft – the edible kind! Have fun baking a cake with your kids. Then let them go to town with frosting and decorate the cake however they want. It’ll be hard to keep those little fingers out of that cake batter, but once it’s finished, the hardest part may be eating your masterpiece!
