Some boilers emit radiant heat. They heat something specific, such as the flooring. In the UK, most boilers use convection heat to heat the air. The boilers of old were criticised for their inefficiency. Modern boilers use between 85-99% of their fuel consumption, which is an enormous improvement. In the past this figure was closer to 50-70 percent.

  1. It is important to have the right water pressure

Did you know the water pressure set for your boiler system differs from that of your plumbing system as a whole? For optimal performance, your boiler’s water pressure should be between 12-15 psi. You will not get enough heat if you set the pressure too low. If you raise it, you may damage your system. By adding more water to the system, you can increase pressure and lower it by bleeding the radiators.

A boiler can provide dry heat, even though it uses a lot of water. Water cannot escape from the system because it is completely sealed, including radiators and pipes. The components are non-porous, so you won’t see any water vapour escaping either. You won’t see any increase in the humidity of your home.
