Best ways to maintain your garden

It might be the first time you’ve ever had a garden to look after when you’ve bought your first house or taken on one to rent. The good news is not to panic.   1. Check the soil. Some plants don’t do well in certain soil types. For example, if you think you’re going to splash heathers everywhere, you might have an issue if you don’t have some ericaceous soil down to grow it in.

  1. Pick plants that are easy to maintain. Look into plants that you can just plant and leave well alone. Let them grow, and they will cover the garden, making life easier for you until you come to prune them.
  2. Plant some wildflowers, there isn’t enough of this going on at the moment, and it will aid with biodiversity. It will attract bees, and they need all the help they can get.
