Planning a wedding – With a little help from friends

We all know weddings are expensive – just putting the word wedding on something increases the price tag! Unfortunately, it is not possible to get around all the expense but there is a great way to save money and at the same time get all your friends and family involved with your big day! Think about the people in your family and close (trustworthy!) friends that you have and what skills and talents they have – you may be able to get everyone involved and save a lot of money in the process! Think about things that it is possible for you to do yourselves as well – some things you will want to get the professionals in for, such as the bride and grooms outfits and the photography – wedding photographer Kent based company http://www.tylermadephotography.com/weddings-kent/ can help you with this. Here are a few of the things that you can get family and friends involved in that can also add that personal touch to the day…

Food – Not everyone knows a great chef, but if you do know someone who has a talent for baking, maybe they could make your wedding cake? If you have an idea of what it is that you would like, speak to them to see if they are able to do it – have a look here for a few ideas to get you started.

Table Decorations – If you know someone who is creative, why not ask them to help with the table decorations? They could make the place names, and lay the tables out for you – taking some of the pressure off you the day before!

Music – If you have members of the family who are talented musically, how about inviting them to use their talents during the ceremony? This is a lovely personal touch to the day – whether they have a great singing voice or can play an instrument, why not pick out some music that you would like and ask them to perform the piece for you? Also, if you want to get children involved too, you could get them to do a reading during the ceremony.

Organisation – Planning and organising a wedding is one of the most stressful things that you can do. If you know one of those people who are good at organising and getting things done, why not ask if they will help you? Even if they take on a small part of it, it will alleviate some of the pressure in the run up.

Of course, if you are lucky enough to have such helpful and talented guests, don’t forget to give them all a huge thank you so they know they are appreciated!
